ABUSE & TRAFFICKING

EDUCATOR TRAINING

Welcome to Protect Our Students. This training program was created by AbolitionNC to meet the North Carolina legal requirement for a school personnel training on child sexual abuse and sex trafficking.

START/RESUME/NAVIGATION
ALTERNATE VIEWING OPTION

To begin course, click START/RESUME COURSE below. You can pause at any time and close the browser window. To continue course work, you must use the same device, and select RESUME when prompted.

Use NEXT> in the lower right corner of the screen to progress. (NEXT> appears when each page is complete.) The MENU on the left shows your overall course progress. Using the MENU
you can return and review prior content.

The alternate viewing option allows you to move throughout the course according to your preference. If you choose this option, your participation is NOT tracked and a Certificate of Completion is NOT available. This version is most useful if you wish to re-watch previously viewed content or use the module for a group presentation. You may also choose to view this version if you do NOT need professional development credit or a Certificate of Completion.

We apologize if you are experiencing technical difficulties.

If the course is not functioning properly, please try one of the following solutions:

  • Refresh your browser while viewing the course.

  • Close other programs and windows.

  • Exit the course and restart your computer.

  • Exit the course and wait 30 minutes before resuming.

  • Wait until "low traffic" hours (evening/weekend) to resume course.

If technical issues continue, please contact Kim Shue at 336-298-1544 or kshue@abolitionnc.org.

Course Resume:

In order to resume the course, please make sure to do the following:

  • Use the same computer/device as you originally viewed the course.

  • Return to the email where you originally opened the course and access the course using the same link

  • Use the same browser (eg. Chrome/Safari/Edge).

  • After entering the password, click START/RESUME COURSE button. And then click RESUME in the center of the screen.

  • Use the menu on the left side of the course to navigate to any page you have previously viewed

  • If that doesn’t work, it is possible that your browser settings might be preventing the resume function from working. If your browser is set to "block all cookies", reducing your Privacy and Security settings might allow the resume function to work.

  • Tip: when possible, keep the course tab open in the background and return to course every 2-3 days to avoid losing course progress.

If the above suggestions do not fix the resume functionality on your device, please email kshue@abolitionnc.org to request a course link.
